A fictional company is a firm that does not exist in reality, but are made to exist in movies, dramas, serials, and novels. This is actually a safe side for the producers or authors so that they do not criticize the real firms nor do they infringe any of the trademarks or copyright rules of the existing firms. So, I dedicate this article to the top 10 popular fictional companies that you must have heard about it somewhere.

Cyberdyne Systems Corporation

This is the computer robotics company who are the makers of SkyNet and Terminators leading to the awareness of the dystopian future of The Terminator. But you will be surprised to know that this firm has its real example as CYBERDYNE Inc. in Japan. This real firm is the developer of Robot Suit HAL that is a robot who can grow bigger and can have better physical potential.

Umbrella

This is a wicked corporation from the Resident Evil movies and video games. Being dedicated to the bioengineering pharmaceutical researches, the firm is accountable for the multiplication of the T-virus. This was nothing but an evil step towards the devastation of the human race. Ah! Thank God, this company was only in movies. Just imaging what would have happen if somebody does so in reality?

You must have heard of this in the TV series of Fringe. It is a multi-billion-dollar company that is of the opinion that everything is theirs. The firm is famous for its efforts and dedication in the upbringing of various domains like arms testing, medical tools, robotics, and pharmaceuticals. This name represents the International Genetic Technologies that is often found in the novel and film series of Jurassic Park. A.C.M.E here means ‘A Company that Makes Everything’. So, does this not remind of Massive Dynamic? But, do not be confuse. This company has nothing to do with the other one and that is heard in many cartoons, movies, and TV series including Looney Tunes and Who Framed Roger Rabbit to name a few from them.

Stark Industries

This company is the manufacturer of the defense military weapons in the Marvel Comics. It is a multi-billion dollar firm possessed by Anthony Edward “Tony” Stark who is a famous businessman. Also entitled as the Iron Man, the company is also heard in its filmy story of  Iron Man. Its logo mimics the logo of Lockheed Martin.

Sirius Cybernetics Corporation

This is the fictional company whose name is famous in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series of Douglas Adams. Regarded as an incompetent firm, the corporation is the pioneer in creating a myriad of different robots and labor-saving tools like lifts, automatic doors, ventilation systems, and the legendary Nutrimatic Drink Dispenser. The firm’s Complaints section is the only apt one that captures all the significant lands on the first three planets.

The firm is the inventor of something strange known as Genuine People Personalities (“GPP”) to instill products via aptitude and sentiment. This includes opening and closing doors with a sigh of contentment of a good job or thanking the users.
