The Wave – United States
Marveled on the border between Arizona and Utah, this is a natural formation of red rock whose outer surface appears as Wave. This wave is composed of sand dunes that have now been transformed into a rock and is now 190 million year old. Nothing much is known about this formation. However, its access is highly controlled. You need to hike for some three miles and explore it on foot.
The Great Blue Hole – Brazil
Located 60 miles from the mainland of the Belize city, this is a large hole in the Lighthouse Reef System. It mostly resembles the spherical shape and is now among the most amazing diving areas. It is only the water that is at 480 feet deep whose depth has given the hole its blue color. Certainly, it is this depth that has always led to the creation of many such blue holes, but this is a noteworthy one.

Eye of the Sahara – Mauritania
Known as the Richat Structure, this is a captivating formation in the southwestern of the Sahara desert. Initially thought to be built by a meteorite falling down, it is now said that an uplift and erosion is the cause of this landform. However, it is not yet known what the reason behind the round shape is. Surprisingly, it is quite huge such that it is even seen from space above.
Hell Gate – Uzbekistan
This is close to the Darvaz town whose people call it as The Door to Hell. As per the story, prior to some 35 years, some geologists were piercing for gas; who then came across a big underground cavern. As the cave was full of gas, nobody was ready to go in and so they the cave was set to fire to prevent any poisonous gas coming out. Even today, these flames are burning the cavern whose red and yellow light can be seen from a distance as well.
Blue Lake Cave – Brazil
This is in the Mato Grosso do Sul region that is famous for its several magnificent underground lakes such as Gruta do Mimoso and Aquario Natural. Among them, the Gruta do Lago Azul – Blue Lake Cave is popular across the globe, which is a natural formation holding stalactites, stalagmites, and an impressive big blue lake. In this cave, there are many stunning geological features, but the deep blue water lake is the major draw.

This is in Arizona on Navajo land near Page, which holds two photogenic canyon sections namely, Upper Antelope Canyon – The Crack and Lower Antelope Canyon – The Corkscrew. According to the Navajo culture, the Upper Antelope Canyon is considered as the site where water passes via the rocks, while the Lower Antelope Canyon is a spiral rock arches.
Giants Causeway – Ireland
Formed on the northeast coast, this is a route of over 40,000 interconnecting basalt columns due to volcanic eruption. With maximum columns in six sides, some columns also have sides that range from four to eight sides. The formation has been ranked fourth among the supreme natural wonders in the U.K.
Crystal Cave of the Giants – Mexico
Located deep within a mine in southern Chihuahua, the crystals are flanked by bedrock in which they appear in variety of shapes and possess transparent gold and silver color. They are quite mesmerizing ones out of which some are so big such that they seem to be the size of pine trees. In the mine, this cave was found in a limestone area where there are ores of silver, zinc, and lead even today and that the dissolution of the area had accumulated the crystallized gypsum.
Wave Rock – Australia
This is a natural rock formation whose shape is that of a high ocean wave. It stretches over a few hectares and is main feature that is often not seen is the preserved wall of the 20th century somewhere in the between above the rock due to which the rainwater gets accumulated in a dam.
